Lato Sensu

Specialization courses are lato sensu postgraduate courses, of temporary duration, with a minimum duration of 360 class hours, which usually have the general objective of deepening technical and professional knowledge and technical, scientific or cultural training in new areas of knowledge, especially in interdisciplinary ones. The realization of lato sensu postgraduate courses at UFPB requires the elaboration of a specific project for each version of the Course, which must be approved by the responsible sectors, namely, department (s) and / or core (s) of research and / or organ (s) of the institution, center council (ies) and Higher Education, Research and Extension Council, in addition to the approval of the accredited body or institution, if applicable. Each Course will follow its own schedule, starting at any time of the year, regardless of the school calendar of other postgraduate and undergraduate courses at this institution, and may be offered in person or at a distance. 

To create a specialization course, it is necessary to send to PRPG / CAAPG a process with the specialization course design in PRPG's own form, which can be found on the PRPG / Specialization page: (http: //www.prpg .ufpb.br / prpg / contents / menu / caapg / lato-sensu-2 / Documents). The project must be approved, respectively, in the department responsible for the course and in the center council (see art. 6 of Res.
