Cotutela
The Masters and Doctorate in Cotutela is the development of stricto sensu postgraduate activities , at the master and doctoral level, under the cotutela regime - between UFPB and a foreign higher education institution (HEI) with an agreement - double titration. It is necessary that there are recognized programs among universities.
Thesis cotutelle is understood as the modality of development of activities, within the scope of the stricto sensu graduate program , which allows the student of the program to carry out his thesis under the responsibility of two supervisors, one linked to one of the UFPB programs and the other to a foreign HEI, where there are postgraduate programs, with or without academic part, recognized as similar by the two institutions.
The home institution is the one in which the student was admitted through his postgraduate program and the host institution is the one to which the other advisor belongs and where the student will carry out part of the activities.
Students who:
- Are regularly enrolled in one of the graduate programs at UFPB or at an accredited university;
- Intend to obtain a master's or doctor's degree from both partner universities, under the terms of a specific prior convention called 'Term of Cotutela', to be signed between the HEIs;
- Seek to carry out a post-graduate work with the participation of two supervisors, one from UFPB and the other from an accredited university.

THE BEGINNING OF POST-GRADUATION ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN THE COTUTELA REGIME IS CONDITIONAL TO THE PREVIOUS EXISTENCE OF THE COTUTELA TERM CELEBRATED BETWEEN UFPB AND THE FOREIGN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION, DEFINING THE PARTICULAR CONDITIONS TO UNDERSTAND UNDERSTANDING FOR THE TWO UNIVERSITIES INVOLVED.
